One of the stories of the 49th Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the new Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award. With over 250 entries from every continent , this award for excellence in digital story publishing is recognition from the world’s largest children’s publishing fair that new digital formats have now joined their print-based counterparts for the BolognaRagazzi award. It also reflects how reading habits are changing.
This year, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair is glad to announce a new category for this prestigious prize : The BolognaRagazzi Digital Award. This unique prize is intended to encourage excellence and innovation in the category of children's story apps.
TOC Bologna 2012 announces its initial program and opens registration today. The Bologna Children’s Book Fair and O’Reilly Media’s Tools of Change continue their partnership to explore the future of children’s digital publishing at the event in Bologna 18 March, 2012.
Registration and a new programme for the first TOC Bologna conference go live today with over 25 speakers from 7 countries. This new annual event is unique in the children's book calendar and marks an exciting new era of digital publishing . The way children find, enjoy, play and share stories is changing and TOC Bologna sets out to bring a whole mixture of professionals together for the first time to discuss and share the ideas and events around digital books that are changing before our eyes.
